This song: “I’m dreaming of home”, from the “Joyeux Noel” movie, relates to us the deep willingness of human beings to reach their Home.

Although, for this, one needs to have a designated place to call one’s Home.

Many people are willing to do what is good, yet, every day, we see that, around us, humanity leans on getting worse.

We find ourselves asking: Where is the place called Home when we live in a time when our plans are getting destroyed, and the day of tomorrow is uncertain?

We long for that land, the place full of peace and quiet. And this is good of us to long for. It is even better if we lend a hand to make a difference where we are or where we could.
Still, this is not enough.

That is why, around 2000 years ago, Somebody was born, and this Somebody is the One who, after He grew up, told us that He will go to prepare a place for us, and this place will serve as our real home, not long from now. (The Bible, John, chapter 14)

C.S.Lewis wrote in his last book from The Chronicles of Narnia series, “The Last Battle”, about the world we live in that it is only an image of what God’s Country is, only a copy or a shadow, a reflection in a mirror, of what our True Land really is.

This is the place we should direct our hopes to, and this is the home we should be longing for from the deepest parts of our soul, and then, hand in hand, let us go to it.

“And there shall be no night there…And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.” (The Bible, Revelation, chapters 21,22)

Behold, He makes all things new. He: The One Who was born only to be sent to die, and He died only to rise from the dead, so that, through all of these we shall have a chance to Grace, received only by Faith.
And to live by faith is not easy, but it is not that hard either, or this is a journey with God.

Come unto me all those that are heavy laden,

And your souls shall receive rest.

Această melodie: “I’m dreaming of home”, din filmul Joyeux Noel, ne prezintă dorința adâncă a omului de a ajunge Acasă.

Dar, pentru aceasta, omul are nevoie de un loc anume pe care să îl numească Acasă.

Suntem destul de mulți oameni care dorim binele, dar, pe zi ce trece, vedem că, în jurul nostru, omenirea merge parcă tot înspre mai rău.

Ne punem astfel întrebarea: Unde este locul numit Acasă, atunci când trăim într-o perioadă în care planurile ni se destramă, iar ziua de mâine este nesigură?

Ne dorim ținutul, patria plină de pace și liniște. Și bine facem că ne dorim aceasta.
Iar mai bine este când punem mâna în a face o diferență acolo unde suntem sau unde putem.
Cu toate acestea, însă, nu este suficient.

De aceea, acum aproximativ 2000 de ani, S-a născut Cineva, iar acest Cineva este Cel care, după ce a crescut, ne-a zis că ne va pregăti un loc, care ne va sluji ca și casă, nu peste mult timp. (Biblia, Ioan, capitolul 14)

C.S. Lewis scria în ultima sa carte din colecția Cronicile din Narnia, și anume “Ultima bătălie”, despre lumea în care trăim că ar fi doar o imagine a ceea ce este Țara lui Dumnezeu, doar o copie sau o umbră, o reflecție în oglindă, a ceea ce este Adevărata Patrie.

Acesta este locul înspre care trebuie să ne îndreptăm speranțele noastre, iar aceasta este casa pe care trebuie să ne-o dorim din adâncul sufletului, iar, mână în mână spre ea să pornim.

“Acolo nu va mai fi noapte… El va șterge orice lacrimă din ochii lor. Și moartea nu va mai fi. Nu va mai fi nici tânguire, nici țipăt, nici durere, pentru că lucrurile dintâi au trecut.” (Biblia, Apocalipsa 21,22)

Iată, El va face toate lucrurile noi. El: Cel care S-a născut pentru ca să moară, și a murit pentru ca să Învieze, ca mai apoi, prin toate acestea, noi să avem o șansă la Darul Nemeritat, primit doar prin Credință.
Iar a trăi prin credință nu e ușor, dar nu este nici greu, iar aceasta este o călătorie cu Dumnezeu.

Veniți la Mine, voi cei fără tihnă
Și veți avea în suflete odihnă…
