Gospodăria – Pentru femei munca e și acum mai mult în casă. Bărbatul însă, începe să robotească tot mai des prin șură și grajduri, pentru pregătirea muncii câmpului, care nu este departe.
Vitele – în luna aceasta trebuie păzite cu toată grija. Nutrețul trebuie cântărit și dat cu porția, ca să ajungă până ce va da iarba colț. Vitele nu pot ieși din iarnă numai cu pielea și ciolanele pe ele, căci de puterea lor de muncă atârnă buna arătură. În deosebi mare grijă trebuie dată vacilor care au a făta. Le trebuie mâncare mai bună: uruială cu sare. Oile și ele trebuie păzite de frig și mai bine hrănite ca să dea miei sănătoși.
Grădina de zarzavat – către sfârșitul lunii, prin unele părți din țară unde e mai cald, începe semănatul în răsadnițe și chiar în straturi. Usturoiul și salata pot fi puse mai devreme.
Livadă – iarăși se pot face unele pregătiri, când timpul nu este aspru. Acum se taie crengile uscate, mlada de răchită sau de salcâm. Se sapă arborii la rădăcină; se adună frunzele de li se dă foc; se curăță omizile.
Ogoare – munca e restrânsă la căratul gunoiului. Trebuie aleasă sămânța de ovăz și mazăre, care se pot pune și în mustul omătului.
Cine va crede și se va boteza, va fi mântuit; dar cine nu va crede, va fi osândit.

Household – For women, the work is still more so inside the house. Men though, start to work around the barn and stables, in to train for the field’s work, which is not far away now.
Livestock – this month they should be guarded very carefully. The fodder must be weighed and divided, to last until the grass will sprout. The livestock cannot get out of the winter bone and skin, for on their strength the plowing depends on. Pregnant cows need special treatment. They need better food: grits with salt. Sheep also need to be guarded from cold and be better fed so that they would have healthy lambs.
The vegetable garden – at the end of the month, in some parts of the country where it gets warmer, starts the sowing in the seedlings or even the ground. Garlic and lettuce may be planted earlier.
Orchard – could be made some preparations, when time isn’t rough. Now it’s time to cut the dry branches, the shoot of the osier or the acacia trees. The trees get dug at the root; the dead leaves are gathered and put to fire; the caterpillars are taken off.
The fields – the work is restrained to carrying the manure. There must be chosen the seed of the oat and the peas, which could be seeded even during snow.
Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned.
