În această lună se îngrămădesc multe dintr-odată.
Gospodăria – cere muncă de furnică. Vine grijitura de primăvară; aerisitul lucrurilor din casă; se aleg ouăle pentru cloște. Se dreg gardurile, se plantează glediță pentru garduri vii. Se curăță fântânele; se dă foc gunoaielor.
Grădina de zarzavaturi – în luna aceasta este toiul muncii. Se fac straturile; se seamănă bobul, mazărea; se pun arpagicul și usturoiul.
Livada – se resădesc pomii; alții se altoiesc. Cine are în grădină caiși ori zarzări, cari înfloresc de timpuriu, îi păzește de brumă, având rogojini la îndemână spre a-i acoperi ori gunoiul spre a-i da foc înspre ziuă, când se lasă bruma. Grija cea mai mare e împotriva omizilor.
Vitele – cer mare cătare, căci începe munca lor. Se hrănesc bine. Oilor a făta li se dă apă la vreme și sare pentru lins.
Ogoare – este toiul muncii. Aratul de primăvară făcut adânc, nu trebuie întârziat. Ovăzul se seamănă aproape în spuma omătului; dar și semănatul orzului ori al grâului de primăvară să nu întârzie. Grâul se tăvălugește, iar sămânța de porumb se vede dacă n-a degerat.

In this month a lot of things pile up.
Household – requires ant work. The spring work out begins; aerate the house things; choose the eggs for the hens. Fix the fences, plant the glades for the hedges. Clean the fountains; burn the trash.
The vegetable garden – this month is in full work. Make the layers; sow the grain, the pea; plant the chive and the garlic.
Orchard – replant the trees; some need grafts. If you have in the orchard apricot trees, which bloom early, make sure you are keeping them away from hoar-frost, covering them with mats or with manure to burn it in the morning, when the hoar-frost falls. Great care should be against the caterpillars.
Livestock – need a lot of looking after, for their work begins. They should be well fed. The pregnant sheep should be given water in time and salt to lick upon.
The fields – full in work. Deep spring plowing should be done in time. Oat should be sown almost in the foam of snow; but also the sowing of barley or the spring wheat may not be delayed. Wheat should be rolled upon, and the corn seed should be checked against the frost.
