La câmp– continuăm semănăturile neterminate, așa ca și în luna Aprilie. Cosim trifoiul și lucerna gata pentru nutreț și prășim porumbul. Ne asigurăm recolta contra grindinei sau focului.
Pomicultura– depărtăm gunoiul din jurul rădăcinilor pomilor și tăiem lăstarii sălbatici ce ies din tulpină. Altoim în coajă și în lemn.
La vie– săpăm și stropim contra pernosporei. Când frunza viei are mărimea unei monede de 5 lei, stropim cu sulfat de cupru.
În casă– copii, ascultați de părinții voștri. Mâna mamei, chiar dacă bate, e moale, iar mustrarea tatălui, chiar dacă e aspră, este spre bine.
El a fost străpuns pentru păcatele noastre și prin rănile lui suntem tămăduiți.

The field– we continue our unfinished seeding, just like April. We mow the clover and the lucerne which are ready for fodder and we tend the corn. We take care of our crops to prevent them from hail or fire.
The orchard – we remove the manure from the tree’s roots and we cut down the wild sprouts that grow out of the stem. We graft in the shell and in the wood.
The vineyard – we dig and spray against pernosporus. When the leaf of the vineyard has the size of a 5 lei’s coin, we spray with copper sulfate.
In the house – children, listen to your parents. Your mother’s hand, even if it raises to you, it is soft, and your father’s scolding, even if it’s rough, it’s for the best.
