câți ani mi-ai fost atât de-ascuns
că orice ajungeri pân-la Tine
mi se păreau de nepătruns.
Câți ani am mers pe-amara cale
hrănindu-mi istovitul dor
cu câte-un strop de mângâiere
dintr-un mai dulce viitor.
Iar azi ce-aproape ești de mine
și cât de fericit de-aflat
că pe-orice căi pornind spre Tine
Te-ajung oricând îndestulat.
Dar cât m-aș adăpa din unda-Ți,
mereu mai dulce-n orice rând,
o beau, mă scald în ea și-mi pare
că nu-mi va fi de-ajuns nicicând.
Cu cât dor mă gândesc la Ziua
din care veșnic ai să-mi fii
în suflet sute de izvoare,
în cântec sute de-armonii.
