When you are on a deserted island, on the beach, you’re going to want to search for good water to drink. What you should do, as the survival books tell us, is to walk around the island, on the shore, and look for any streams. Any stream has a spring, and they come down to the shore from higher ground.
Now, follow the stream, and it will lead you to the spring, on the higher ground.
That is what the Pevensie brothers and sisters did when they got back to Narnia, in the second book of The Chronicles of Narnia series – Prince Caspian, by C.S. Lewis.
➡️ In our ordinary life, we might not be in person on a deserted island, but we might live a deserted life – maybe there are not a lot of people around to help us, maybe we are not supported by the people around us, maybe we are misunderstood sometimes, you name it.
Now, we cannot live with saltwater to drink – we need a fresh spring of sweet water.
“They have forsaken Me, the fountain of living waters…” (The Bible, Jeremiah 2:13 ESV)
Jesus is the Water of Life.
And whenever you find a sign or a person that will lead you to Him, follow it, and you will be satisfied.
“On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.”
“Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, ‘Out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.’” (The Bible, John 7:37-38 ESV)

Dacă te afli pe o insulă părăsită, pe plajă, vei dori să găsești apă bună de băut. Ceea ce ar trebui să faci, după cum ne învață cărțile despre supraviețuire, este să mergi de-a lungul malului, înconjurul insulei, pentru a da de vreun curs de apă. Orice pârâu are un izvor, iar acesta se varsă pe țărm venind dintr-un punct mai înalt.
Acum, urmărește pârâul, care te va conduce în sus, către izvor.
Asta este ceea ce au făcut frații și surorile Pevensie când s-au întors în Narnia în a doua carte din seria Cronicile din Narnia – Prințul Caspian, de C.S. Lewis.
➡️ În viața noastră obișnuită, se prea poate să nu ajungem în persoană pe o insulă părăsită, dar se poate să trăim o viață pustie – poate nu sunt mulți oameni în jurul nostru gata să ne ajute, poate nu suntem susținuți de cei din jurul nostru, poate uneori nu suntem înțeleși, sau orice altceva la care te gândești.
Acum, noi nu putem trăi cu apă sărată de băut – avem nevoie de un izvor proaspăt de apă dulce.
“M-au părăsit pe Mine, Izvorul apelor vii…”(Biblia, Ieremia 2:13 VDC)
Iisus este Apa Vieții.
Iar oricând găsești un semn sau o persoană care să te conducă înspre El, urmărește-l/o, și vei fi împlinit.
“În ziua de pe urmă, care era ziua cea mare a praznicului, Iisus a stat în picioare și a strigat: „Dacă însetează cineva, să vină la Mine și să bea.”
“Cine crede în Mine, din inima lui vor curge râuri de apă vie, cum zice Scriptura.””(Biblia, Ioan 7:37-38 VDC)
