Neliniştit îmi este duhul cât încă sunt pe drum şi lupt, atâtea temeri şi primejdii mă fac să tremur ne-ntrerupt. Neîmpăcat îmi este gândul cât tot întreb mereu şi cat, atâtea taine neştiute mă-nfometează ne-ncetat. Nepotolită mi-e iubirea cât arde-n depărtări şi-n dor, de ce-aş putea să mă prea bucur cât sunt străin şi călător? Neodihnit este-al meu suflet oriunde-aş fi, oricum aş sta, pân’ va veni, Iisus, odihna desăvârşită-n umbra Ta. Mult-milostivă-mpărtăşire, cuprinde-mă odihnitor în veşnica Nedespărţire, în Nemaidepărtatul Dor.

Restless is my soul whilst on the way and fighting, so many fears and risks make me quiver constantly. Irreconcilable is my thought whilst I keep asking and searching, so many unknown mysteries starve me continously. Unabated is my love whilst burning away and longing, what can I rejoice in while I’m a wayfaring stranger? Unsoothed is my soul wherever and however I’ll be, until Your rest, Jesus, will come perfect in Your shadow. Greatly merciful Communion embrace me restfully in the eternal Inseparability in the Undistant Longing.
